I have noticed that the game has been emitting odd queries to a "Playtomic Tracker". These queries do not appear to correspond to any particular action taken in-game, and, in fact, continue even when no game is being played. The URLs accessed and the responses within appear to be gibberish. Very suspicious of this behavior, I blocked it, and yet it appears to have no adverse effect on the game.

Google says this site is a spyware tracking site. Their site says that they are some kind of "leaderboards" site, which seems to be rather untrue given that the game runs on Playerio, an actual gameserver hosting service, and the leaderboards are queried from there. It also claims to be "analytics", which is corpspeak for "spyware".

Whatever it is, it also happens to be a performance dog and my game runs faster now that it is blocked.

Only the best serve me, let the others moan.

It's not spyware, it's just some stats tracking that we have in the game.

Out of interest, even if it was spyware, wouldn't it need permission to access anything? Java-DB for example.

The panda is endangered. Save him :(
