Well, that depends, but I would say it works.
There is nothing that can't be solved.
Lubunto is an extremely poor OS buthe it will work.
Ubuntu would be a sure bet but if the original poster has a computer with a RAM smaller than 1500Mb and a PATA (IDE) interface, then he will need Lubuntu.
Lubuntu works in those computers so she can always have that as a solution.
