RE: CONGRATULATIONS TO L93 FOR REACHING #1 RANK ON ALL TIME LEADER BOARD
I really appreciate the thread in celebration for this event and more importantly the kind words expressed in these posts. I don't have much to say really, I did that last year when I first got the rank. I'll explain a few brief things I might not have explained well in the past.

I'll post a minor snip from my last reply to start this off because these two paragraphs are still very much relevant.

(05-22-2014 05:55 AM)Echo (L93) Wrote:  I started into the leaderboard late, I do admit. I began playing in December from level 76, and again I am thankful. I have improved on BEO2 from that time and I have been able to pull off stunts that I thought were impossible. You'll see me miss alot more than I used to here, and that's just because I always bite the timer, and take 2 - 5 seconds on 30 second turns, and it has become a problem that I wish to fix in the future. We all have our flaw, and this one is mine.

To reach first to me was unheard of in both games. (I will not go into details over why for each one). And though it is just a number, I am happy that I could make it up to the top of one of the leaderboards. However, I will never think I am number 1 because there will always be someone out there who can beat you, you just have to keep up with them. Some players are legends, and I will admit, I am only a player with the willing to learn, and not a legend. (In my eyes).

Since then, I have been able to slightly improve my quick aiming problem, and I'm more accurate when accidentally doing it, games with or without wind. Yes I've had tons of flawless games, not only in 1v1s but in 2v2s and a couple 3v3s even, but there is always room for self improvement and/or self-advancement, no matter how far you go, in anything. A game, an education, a job, an investment, an asset, you name it.

Now, from that... Let me explain a little more than I did from that quote.

The first shell I bought, the Riot shell, is not only significant in my personal liking for it. But look at the description of the egg.

In all the time I've played BEO, I have done just that. Before and after it existed, from past to present. I've been in the game for about 4 years now, this game taught me many positive things, to pursue, to endure, and to never, ever, stop, no matter what gets thrown into your face. Like all of you when you began the game, I was once someone who could not aim to win a game. Games that could of clearly been won were lost due to my unknowing. Did that stop me? It surely didn't. It should not stop you either. You never know where you might end up, you might become one of the greatest players to ever set foot in this game, whether it's with normal modes, wind, random gravity, roulette etc.

Of course a great player is a well rounded player in every mode, but they all have their own turf. Wind and Low G is mine, and it always has been. I've decimated souls and spirits of many, and as said above, it all began, just like you all began. Missing shots, losing games by narrow margins, and enduring the struggles of being a new time player.

I reached 6th on all time in BEO1 starting almost two years late, (not getting pro until late 2012 early 2013) and starting late in BEO2 not once, but now twice (from the hiatus). Now able to get top rank in both attempts. Severely an underdog from those more mentioned (Albert, SenSei in the past and more recently Sona), it doesn't take too much for a player like me to stop playing because of all the negativity/negative pressure towards you. I'll be the first to tell you leaderboard doesn't equal skill in the slightest. Even when I first got it, I said the same exact thing. I remember when the leaderboard was at least halfway competitive in skill with many old timer players. With all of them practically decayed now, it's full of anything but skill. Turn on wind and all of them just run off or flame at you.

If I can say one thing that has completely changed, many long time tenants in EoD (and a couple others) after almost an entire year convinced me to start playing again and try to go for it. Ask them about how much I did not want to come back here, they could write you a novel on how much I complained about just about everything. But they got me eventually, I don't even know how. It is following that time the vibrant motivation to get back there was mostly the help of my fellow long time friends as well as friends I made along the way since I returned. I'll also give a shoutout to each of my clan members. It gave me yet another reason to stay, all great people, not only in game but in personality and in all characteristic. I will only be proud of all of you for everything. When I speak of these people said above, they know who they are. I have tremendous respect for all who have helped me accomplish this goal once again. Sure it took a long time, but that is what a long term goal is after all.

I can completely understand in result of this I might receive backlash from those who I have personally conflicted with in the past and those who don't agree with how I handle things. However like I've said before.

Let's not forget I forgive easily, and most certainly don't hold a grudge against any of you, and yes I mean all of you.

With nothing left to say accept.

So let it be written, on this day here.

This isn't a win just for me. For all the time I hold this rank, it is a win for all of those who have supported me over the years, those who still remain or are past gone. They are #1, too.~
