Something that could help with such an issue is putting a limit on how close the terrain is to the ground. Or only allowing a certain level of flatness. I am pretty sure in BEO1 that you couldn't see the user created map before you entered a match, if it were some how made visible in the lobby, you would know whether or not you like the map. There could also be an additional report button for user made terrain if some one is abusing it.

These are all just ideas of course, not necessarily solutions.

Yeah, that seems like a soluble solution, still flat though, just higher, so drill and falling elephants would mess a person up, especially up against a wall, flat maps just leave so much challenge out of the game. And yes smashed, you are correct there on beo1, it just said user created or something like that, I'd have to go back on my beast beo1 acct and look Smiley_XD

I miss custom maps because when i make a land with lots of spikes and you get stuck between was funny or when i made maps with everyone being trapped the people always rage quit. the only problem with map editors is how long it will take to make a map with the beo 2 physics and beo 1 you are always stuck to the floor and now you fall and jump.

Yeah, my irl friend made a map with a ton of spikes that had little trap holes, and with the weird physics in beo1, you would get stuck to where you had to shoot yourself, lol!

Map creator/ terrain editor is a pretty good idea but since in BEO2 random spawning is there it is still like a not much needed function...
I also noticed many people said that flat maps are a problem in having a good game ( to which i agree ) but still we have randomly generated maps which more or less solve a bit of the issue.. Smiley_Smile

But the one problem in terrain editor would be that in BEO2 the spawning of teams is either on left or on right side and not mixed....So either a team will win with a huge margin or just maybe have no chance Smiley_Tongue

I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement, but I suppose providing a thumbnail of the map in the lobby area might help, rather than just a generic 'user created map' image.

The biggest reason we won't get any kind of map editor isn't the trap maps, thanks to the random spawns mentioned earlier. It isn't the random map creations because those were in BEO1 too. The reason we won't get a creator is the enhanced ability to create lewd or pornographic images. It would be entirely too easy to make a map depicting various parts of human anatomy.
