DO you have to be a specific level? or is there another reason why I wouldn't get the invite envelope in the friend's screen? I know they are online, they were sitting beside me and I could see their screen.

Eh, that's weird. Sometimes that happens but it says to me that the player is not online, even know we're talking to each other in a chat room and he/she says they are online and are not getting the invite.
