@Snitcher, when did you first join this forum *truthfully speaking, just asking cause your pro says that you JOINED this year..on this forum..so yea just pointing that out here*...because just saying..but the ONES who would know MORE about this forum, would be Mageg Grim Cat Vexis Gothic Demon and all those others who JOINED THIS FORUM WHEN BEO2 FIRST CAME OUT...just saying and also

@Inuyasha I agree with all that you said Smiley_ThumbsUp.

And meh *shrug* I put my vote on the poll but idc also I agree with the others who are saying that they don't like these ideas..anyways good day.
i don't feel explaining what already is obvious to some simple minded folks.

its just funny that there are actually some people that thinks someone will snitch against the others with their true identity.

@tench

alright, i'm not even going to discuss that age stuff anymore. i already stated on my 1st post all the possible cons of it and everyone just keeps on repeating what i actually had said. its like no one even read it since i was already contradicting that whole suggestion alone with most of the things that i stated on that post which everyone just repeated. lol.

next-

this site alone gets 20k+ visits per day. do you honestly think that a measly private server that shares a copyrighted game that is not even their own can have more? its not even possible for a small server to actually overhaul a game and try to have complete language support for that modified game, that's where the language sub forum kicks in, so technically a complete language support is already unnecessary as long as you have different languages sub forums, and how can we even have more people if they don't have that place to post in? did it even occur to you that there might be people who can't even understand english or at least just shy because they're not fluent at it? we already have enough haters for retarded grammars what more for broken english?

as for that elitist claim that you keep on insisting when its not then how come those forums that rewards users premium to lifetime memberships when they win or gets a place in monthly contests are running very well? and these are forums that just gets around 1.5k+ visits/day. hell, they even have regional sections and marketplaces for canada, asia, & eu and they're all interactive, try and top that.
Where do you get those "20k+ visits per day" from? The forums don't get anywhere near that. I just looked up some metrics, and they tell a completely different story.

You're taking some stuff from extremely large communities and trying to apply them in a very small one. The results won't be good -- the dynamics of the place are completely different.

If this place had 2,500 active members, those suggestions could be considered. You'd also have a place where you mostly don't know three quarters of the people you see posting every day.
That's not the case here, at all. For the most part, everyone knows everybody here. And the forum is extremely small, to the point that dividing it would lead to self-destruction.
only reasonable access based on member-level would be clan forums (aka each clan would have their own sub forum) but donkins won't start adding that since a: its alot work (for donkins and moderators) and b: wouldn't add anything needed. if clans would want their own forum then they could start some other forum than beo.

i stand to be corrected, what i meant was the game site itself.

we can have a large community if they can at least try and pull even just a fraction of those players in here.

are you even going to stay and keep playing this game if you are a new player that is interested in interacting in a game based upon its forum activity?

i still see no harm in having to reward certain players with forum titles based upon their contributions/winning contests/tournaments. if the additional perk of having a different section for them is what's bugging you then haven't you noticed that its in the last of the possible bonuses? meaning its just a last resort for an addition that does not really need to be carried out or even be considered a part of, and the fact that having different languages sub forums ready to be posted upon is not going to hurt anybody, given that those that does not understand those languages will not try and post useless crap in it then there really isn't any visible threat and or problems until the ones that are ready and willing to post there and fully utilize it comes along.

@egg666

they already have clan chat and so far everyone is feeling obliged in respecting each other upon posting appropriately in ea of their respective clan threads.
Didn't I say I was OK with the special titles and random minor perks like avatar sizes?

EDIT: yay 300th post
many visitors are 1st (and quite possibly last) visitors who play 1-2 matches as guest and then vanish.

If you look at statmyweb, it does say that there are 20k+ visitors. But there's a rather large asterisk to consider in all this. Just to restate the "fact", there are 20k visitors; however, the vast majority of those would be bots making sure that everything is up and running.

There are over 3000 registered accounts on the forums. From there, you can go through and see that about 1000 of those are bots trying to advertise something. Another 1000 (being generous) are players who made accounts, posted a few times if they posted at all, and never came back. Finally, there's the 1000 (still on the generous side) who posted 50 or more times.

From that last group, you can assume that only about 200 people are still active forum users. If we take the most players that I've seen at any time (that would be 20), for them to make the 31k page views that statmywebs says we get, each of us would be looking at 1500 pages per person. While not impossible, you can estimate that an average player would look at maybe 20-25 threads that they deem important and a few user pages. We can then say that on each thread they look at, they view 2 pages. We're at 40-50 pages, and from there you can say that they will look at maybe 2 users from each thread. This brings us to 80-100 pages for that group of 20 "average users".

These are all very generous numbers that I'm giving, but the community is not as large as you think, snitcher. Several of us posting here have run websites of our own and deal/dealt with these same statistics on a daily basis. If you were to view a less generalized stat sheet, you would see exactly what we've been trying to tell you about why the division into sub-forums wouldn't work.

As for rewarding people for contributions, it should really be something open to all the forum goers. Would I love to have a bigger avatar or more pm space? Of course, we all would. But I don't want any of it if it means that people would go without as it would only create problems. People would start making threads about others having things they don't and then complaining that they don't and can't get them.
To back up Tenchi, the FORUM itself, where most, if not all of the active members are. The forum has 3,333 members, so it *might* be a while before we reach 20k. It would be nice if Snitcher would stop posting, as I'd call that spam. This thread is pointless, once again, good day.

How are his posts spam? (Regardless of whether someone does or does not agree with them.)
